Of course it was "in accordance" ---- but to be honest, was it "in the spirit of the original"? As I said before, I have NEVER seen an underhammer PISTOL of this size -- - only the underhammer "pocket rifles" -- so having such a monster on the firing-line would put off a lot of Club level shooters -- much in the same way that the specially fettled revolvers with prices tags in 4 figures would stop people with regular-priced ones thinking that they had a chance in a match.
It was always thus -- and is WORSE in the smallbore prone target events.

I understand why Feinwerkbau have stopped production --- and personally I believe that it is a good thing for the majority of people who want to compete in matches.
 
Well, thank God you don't have to bother with the EU anymore,
but what about all the other beautiful handmade under hammer guns?

If only the owners of original weapons were allowed to shoot at competitions, the community would quickly become much smaller.
