:hmm:Was just cleaning up 20ga that was used fr NY turkey season that ends today. In the past there have been some forums on APP. The general view has been that some have had real problems with not being able to keep powder from fouling and other problems. Well, I have had a charge in thi 20ga for the last two weeks of turkey season. The last two weeks have had its share of rain also. Just went out befor cleaning and put two caps on and shot off both barrle with out NO problem. Just passing on some facts. Also have used APP befor in same gun without no problems. OH WELL. :m2c:

Frenchman: I have been using this powder now for several years, hunting, and target shooting, and have had no problems with moisture, or fowling, even in wet weather. I like it! However, I would like to see some comparisons with real BP, as to its velocity. I guess I will have to break down and buy a chrony!

I shot APP's predesessor, Clean Shot, for over a year and as far as velocity goes, I found that it took 10gr more powder than Pyro RS for a given bullet to hit the same point of impact. SO, that would make it about 10% less powerful than Pyro or 2fg black and about 25% less powerful than 777 powder.

I got good accuracy with that powder, but I did have a can go bad on me about the time 777 came out. I tried it and never went back to the Clean Shot............"fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me". I was fortunate in that I was at the range when I tried the bad powder and not a hunt.
