Cleaning under my work bench and I came across several American Bison horns, that I have had a long time, so I thought that I should start doing something with them. This is one of them finished with brass tacks and applied horn spout end. The design is an authentic design taken from an original.

Rick, wasn't the original made from "buffalo" horn?

I really like the dark wood. None I've seen with lighter wood have popped my cork, but this one sure does.

I've had a very nice pair of horns sitting around 5 years waiting for inspiration, and you've provided it.

Thanks! :hatsoff:

Rick,

Horns with brass tacks are not my forte, but you did a truly excellent job on this horn. I always enjoy admiring your work on horns.

Gosh Rick, that almost looks like a real powder horn.... :rotf: :v
Seriously, that would look really good with my old halfstock smoothbore. I like it.
