Nothing wrong. I have two .50-cals. and I can only shoot one of them at a time. I just prefer .50-cal. My old T/C Renegade shoots different than my longer barreled Great Plains Rifle. Love 'em both.

Dixie has them in stock:

They're 950 dollars, before getting that deeply invested I would consider a Jim Kibler .32 Southern Mountain Rifle kit and make a world class rifle instead, with the very best components and everything historically accurate.

Here is the master gunbuilder teaching how to build one of his kits:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK-DUN4pHdQm-yeIDchwuzQ/featured

So the kit plus the lock is $45 more than you wanted to spend on the pedersoli. Watch the videos and determine how much it would cost to expand your work area to accomplish the build (probably not much, the kits go together easily).

Just my two cents. Whatever you decide will be the right decision as long as the money is spent on muzzleloading. :v

I have (4) .32s, (5) .36's, (4) .45's, (6) .50's, (4) .54's, (1) .56SB and (2) .58's. You can never have enough guns. This is just muzzle loader rifles, I also have (2) .50 pistols and (1) .54 pistol. Can't talk about the suppository guns. Needless to say, I have (3) Fort Knox safes. If for some reason I should be raided, I'm sure they will say I have an arsenal, but as far as I am concerned it is my hobby. Can't even begin to tell you how many pounds of black and smokeless powder I have on hand or the amount of ammo currently made up.

:shocked2: I'm right behind ya....but yer older, I'll catch up

To be honest I am gonna cull the herd here soon. I would rather have a few I KNOW REAL WELL and the $$ from the sales will go to a few items I am short of, like a GOOD flintlock and a trade gun.

Yeah, I have been thinking about culling some of the herd. I have a rifle I plan to give to my Nephew cause he is interested in muzzle loader shooting, which is unusual for a kid his age. Also think I may unload a few of the rifles that I don't shoot much anymore. I plan to donate a rifle to the youth committee of my gun club to hopefully get more kids interested in BP shooting. We have to keep the legacy going.
