Balls: Ball Accuary http://www.ball-accuracy.com,
Molds: Jeff tanner in the UK. [email protected]

you do not want to buy a mold until you figure out what it likes. you need to know your true bore dia. Just because it is a 69 cal it may not be that bore dia.I have a 69 cal 1842 and it has a .688 bore and it likes a 685 ball.

Jeff Tanner will make you any size mould you need. His moulds use double cavity mould handles
( I like the Lee handles ) and do not come with a sprue cutter. They also make the best looking rounds you have ever seen! I have Jeff's moulds for all of my muzzleloaders from .388 to .685 Every time I get a new smokepole I send an E Mail to Jeff!

If you know the ACTUAL bore diameter of your ".69 " rifle, and the bullet diameter it LIKES, then consider contacting:

Eddie May Round Balls
159 Ridley Rd.
Chatsworth, GA 30705
Phone: 706-581-8225

He has a variety of ball sizes available at reasonable prices. His delivery is very quick, too.

Hello rmack I have a BUNCH of .680 balls already made. Pm me with your address. I send you some. I think they will work for you. I used to have a euroarms 1842 springfield and they shot real good.

As mentioned, Lee precision makes a .690 round ball mold. It’s aluminum, of course, and inexpensive. However, it may not be, as others have mentioned, the right size for you. I have this mold and casted up some to use in my 12 ga double muzzle loader. It casts right at .690 with wheel weights and a little smaller with pure lead. Lee’s website is www.leeprecision.com . You can also find Lee molds at other venders like midway usa, etc.
