what would be a good starting load for the shot load for this .50 it has a cwt swamped colrain bbl 42" i have shot prb at 50-75 yards with excellent results but was wondering if it would be enough for solid kills on squirrels with a shot load at 20yards or so any help will be appreciated :bow:

Trucker, should be "no problem". I shoot 50 grs. 3F and 3/4 oz. shot in mine and it will put 20 to 25 shot in a 3"x5" card at 25 yds. We don't have any tree squirrels here (darn it) but I've used it on grouse and chuckers with good sucess. I package my shot and wads in a "post it" note tube.
