Bought this several years ago planning to perfect my (nonexistent) stock making skills by slimming it down and relief carving it.

Not sure what I was drinking that day, but I’m back on the wagon now!

I’m tired of it hanging on a peg in my shop taunting me, so it needs to move along to another hopeless dreamer.

Function is perfect mechanically. Never fired it but the bore is excellent. It was a kit gun and I’m not sure that it was ever fired. Rear sight is backwards (always a good kit gun clue) and it looks like the front sight was mounted with brute force and ignorance (a USMC builder perhaps?)

Interestingly the barrel has a very unique finish, it’s subdued but very attractive. When I first got the gun I posted pics to see if anyone could figure it out…most thought it was done with a rope wrap and a chemical of some sort.

This thing slimmed way down, dark finished and with this barrel would make a great looking pistol. If you do all that…don’t send me pics.

Not really sure on value here, can we say $250 shipped? With a little work it could be a very nice deer killing handgun.

Yep a kit gun/project. NICE! I just sold one in.45 so I will have to pass but a deal for the right guy/gal. These have the potential to be shooters

Those are very nice pistols. It’s a CVA. I have one identical to it I bought new and assembled in the early 80s
