Need to sell my beautiful .40 cal percussion 1/2 stock , custom made offhand target rifle. 36" barrel, 52" overall. Very accurate.
I believe it is an "offhand" target rifle. From the Vermont/ New York border area. Might be made by Floyd Butler who was mentioned in Ned Roberts book , he lived nearby.
Has a coned barrel, and a vented cleanout screw in the drum, which I heard some used for better ignition. Great shooter!
PM for more info and delivery info. $700. OBRO

Every Floyd Butler-made gun I have ever seen has had a fiddle shape somewhere in the woodwork. It was his signature. Nice rifle.

ADK Bigfoot

ADK Bigfoot Might be original but looks like she's aged Rod England kit . Have to see up close to tell age.If original you got a nice rifle.
Vincent rifle if I ever saw one . Ohio River butt plate

Vincent was my guess also. I have a .40cal. Vincent kit from Golden Age Arms that is dead ringer for that one. Triggers look like Davis. Not a bad price though.

Rod England developed those kits for Golden Age in Delaware Ohio . I have several of Rod's guns.O agree that is a good price for it.

I'm kinda interested. What state you in?

Do you know who made the lock? Also barrel maker, rate of yew is, depth of grooves.
thx
TC

Length of pull is 13" from the deepest part of the buttstock to the foreward or
hair trigger. I apologize for having no knowledge of maker, and I am hesitant to start taking the rifle apart. I shoots just fine the way she is, I don't want to screw anything up.
This rifle was bought from Dave Hicks from Granville,NY. He could not tell me
who made it, but I am sure it was an offhand target rifle.
