Nice looking gun. Always been a fan of those darkly stained ones with the lightness peaking out. How does it shoot?
 
Man I like that. Wish I'd spotted it for sale. Seems every time I see a .36 for sale it has one of those deep crescent butt plates I hate so much. Good score for you, I hope it helps you make lots of squirrel pie.
 
Thanks for the compliments. I'm not a gun builder or even want to be one. But this one turned out. Its hard to put that rasp to the wood that first stroke. And then, When do I stop? I've got a rifle that took 10 years to build, Because I was afraid I would ruin it. So the moral is, If I can do it so can most any body. Just go slow.Good Luck.

That is one very fine rifle. The 3/4" barrel (my .36 has one) sure does keep that weight feathery.
