Does anyone know offhand which nipple/cone wrench can be used for this gun? The one I had for 40+yrs is somewhere in the Sonoran Desert as I type this. Anyone who knows/owns this rifle knows that where the cone is situated is a pretty tight fit to get to it.

I have a wrench for the nipple. It is a normal nipple wrench that has the outside grinded down on the nipple end of the wrench. Someone did the grinding for me and I don't know what tool was used to do it. The end of the wrench is now small enough to fit but still strong enough to turn the nipple.

I took a normal nipple wrench, removed the handle, chucked it in my small lathe and turned it down to fit. Grinding as Stub said would work to.

I'm using open-end wrenches for my T/C guns. I have some actual T/C tools around here someplace, but they are... um.... misplaced. I have seen 1/4" drive sockets modified to work with some nipples. Kind of thinking about making some myself next summer.

I use a #10 pistol nipple wrench on mine.
I hope that works well because I have purchase two different nipple wrenches for my Crockett Rifle and none work. My T/C wrenches somewhat work but not like the need to. I've been using a 3/16" open end wrench but it too, is not the right tool for the job.
