Took my new Green Mountain 54 cal. barrel TC to the range today.
This is with a .015 patch, 60 grains of 3F, .530 ball, and shooting from the bench at 25 yards.
I found it took a short starter to get the ball started, it wasn't really hard to push it down with the range rod once it got started. I ran a damp patch down between each shot. After making a few small sight adjustments I shot 5 rounds at this target.
I want to try some other powder charges but it's looking like it's going to shoot a whole lot better than I can hold it.
