Not specific to muzzle loaders, but there's lots of use of real Black Powder Blanks in this very interesting movie. Old Henry (2021) is a classic Western set in 1906 Oklahoma Territory and is a really fine, beautifully made movie about loot, fake sheriffs, outlaws, etc. Sure to interest anyone that loves Westerns, it's very authentic. OLD HENRY movie. Filmed in Tennessee.

Watched it last month. Outstanding movie.

I had no idea of what was about to be revealed.

The movie will be ruined if anyone researches it prior to watching it.

Seriously folks, take 64Springer's advice. I enjoyed the movie but would have enjoyed it more without the info I had gathered before watching it!

Generally, all films and TV shows set in or around the old west used black powder 5 in 1 blanks as well as some of the 40s and 50 gangster movies since they wanted the smoke effect. Here's a story that True West Magazine did on the history and use of the 5 in 1 blanks.

5 in 1 Blanks
