    need a fix

    I have a smoothbore barrel which has had the ventliner hole drilled out too large for even a 3/8 size ventliner. my question is can the hole be filled by welding some how and then redrilled.

    finally made it out

    low 50's this morning,perfect squirrelin' weather. first hunt this year and the first hunt in a new patch of woods,i managed to bring three home with me.

    non-boiled linseed oil

    i have several bottles of plain linseed oil,could this be used to make canvas oilcloth. i have made oilcloth with boiled linseed oil with good results,would there be any difference...thanks!

    stock wax

    dumb question time. is anyone here familiar with Birchwood/Casey's gun stock wax. is it supposed to be used for a final finish after the stain or is it to go over a clear coat,i'm not sure how to use it...thanks

    squirrels and deer scouting

    come on now,surely i'm not the only one chasin' the busytails.perfect opprotunity to scout deer for the up-coming season,starts in mid november here in Missouri. seen a nice eight pointer and a spike down in the bottoms,lots of turkeys also,and dozens of squirrels.

    for those of you that use it as a patch lube how do you use it in the field. sray bottle,loose pre-lubed patches. how long do you think it would last in the open,like pre-lubed patched balls in a ball board. does it evaporate quickly.

    there is a local estate auctin this saturday,in it they have an unfired CVA .50caliber Mountain rifle with a USA made barrel.how much do you think this rifle would be worth.

    new bag and horn for the .40cal

    dont shoot it as much as i should so i made this bag and horn for it,as insentive to take it out more. double bag made of goat skin,lined with ticking. horn does'nt have a lot of curve to it but i think it goes good with this bag.
