    Traditions trapper

Thank you but I found one. As in most muzzleloader /gun stuff it was tough to find at least not impossible you just have to pay the higher price.

    Traditions trapper

I have enough revolvers and built a 60 smooth flintlock. But have been thinking of another single shot. I'd really like a tc patriot but hard to find and out of my price range when I do. I like the 45 but will probably have to go with the traditions trapper 50. Hoping to find a used one but...

    finally refinished fowler

I really haven't shot it much...figured I'd spend some time and just figure it out. Going from octagon to round and a good taper down to the end of barrel figured I just need to figure it out. Guy told me to just bring front sight up till it peaks over the tang. Might work on his but not mine...

    finally refinished fowler

Finally....a year later and I finally got around to refinishing her. Brought more of the stripping out in the maple...striped it down stained lancaster maple and some tung oil. Touched up the brown on barrel...might do it all again sometime but now there'll be time to sight her in and be ready...

    Mountain man pistols

Many guys in our muzzleloading camp (mountain man ) shoot smooth bore. I'd say all of them in the AMM shoot smoothies.

    Current reasonable price for ROA.

They seem to really go up and down. I have one in good shape but not perfect but still a 90% + gun....with a conversion cylinder. I started at $700 and went all the way down to $450 because I wanted to fund another gun. Put it back in safe to stay. $500 is a good price...I paid $475 for mine...

    Traditions flintlock

Sat around for over an hour last night writing a post on my build and progress with pictures. Had some out of order and did a cut and paste and than whoosh....gone. so this is just a short one on browning my barrel. Not much to be found on the subject so like so many things muzzleloader no right...

    .330 buckshot or 00 buck

Melt it down and mold your own....for a $20 mold you can pay for everything in no time. Lead is getting harder to come by. It's a little hard for a muzzleloader but will work good. Soft lead is really what you want.

    Enfield 3 band

Got a few better pics...inside lock...markings underside barrel...turner name...only marks on stock slight oval left side by screws and under barrel at least all I've been able to find.

    Enfield 3 band

I've read that Thomas Turner was a barrel maker in Birmingham that was used to manufacturer for the enfield barrels.

    Enfield 3 band

The barrel is marked with turners name and wilson. It does not have any lugs anywhere on end of barrel except the front sight. All this is very interesting and glad you have the information and knowledge to at least try to figure out part of her story. Thank you so much for the time you spent...

    Competetion Shooting

I have a few of them now and love them all. Building a couple more it gets kind of addictive. My lyman great plains 54 does me good at a rondevous and nobody will say anything about the lock spring. Most true to a hawken style....someone probably would say something about a t/c rear sight at our...

    Enfield 3 band

The barrel also has turner name on it further up barrel...was having troubles posting stuff on my little pad. I'm excited about it and a plus is the bore is in decent shape. Cant get the nipple out yet but soaking it and I'll get it eventually. I'll get more when I get home setting in work truck...

    Enfield 3 band

Couple months ago finally got myself an 1853 enfield made in early 80's sold by navy arms. Great rifle and shot me some patched round balls and had a blast. My buddy bought a 1858 2 band pedersoli so we sent a few down range. In the mean time made some minie's up but haven't been able to make...

    62 fowler

Just picked up my first fowler and took it out to the range. Shot a .60 ball .10 patch and 60 grains powder. Sweet ..but wondering what most shoot. Patched ball or powder wad ball wad. I know there's different ways to shot them and can learn more from the guys in my club. Just wondering what...
