Hey guy's, I recently got myself a 50cal. flintlock and I need your advise on something before I shoot it for the first time. I have always shot and hunted with percussion rifles so the flintlock is new to me. My question is this: How much powder do I use in the priming pan? Very much or not...

I am buying a Pedersoli Frontier 36cal rifle off of a man later in the week. He said that it has been so long since he shot it that he couldn't remember if 2F or 3F blackpowder was recommended to shoot in it. Do any of you guy's know which one it is? Fired New Pistol

My son and I shot my new 50cal Lyman Plains pistol for a while yesterday and I was really impressed with it. We worked on figuring out a load that it liked and we finally got it. It likes a .490 round ball with 35grains of 3F powder and a .018 ticking patch. After we got that figured out we were...

    Cap keeps getting stuck

I have a T/C 50cal Hawken percussion rifle and here lately everytime that I shoot it the cap gets stuck in the hammer after I shoot it. I made sure that the hammer was good and clean but it still does it. Is there anything that I can do to prevent this. All suggestions will be appreciated. Thank's.
