Greetings all from Arizona

Howdy, and fair greetings to all!

I'm an Anthropology Major who's emphasis is on the American Frontier and West dating from the Louisiana Purchase until the early 1900s.

I'm also a new member of NCOWS and SASS and have created a persona for the Frontiersman category (cap and ball pistol).

While being a student on a tight budget, I've figured out fun and exciting ways to stay historically accurate and save a buck or two. One of which is for my Long Rifle Single Shot Side Matches, I'm going to be using a Hawken. I've always loved that rifle and it fits my persona beautifully where function, style and personality are a high first way above speed and efficiency! As such, by hook or by crook, I found this forum and I'm looking forward to learning all I can about this rich part of our American history.

Anyways, hope to talk to you all, and learn from you and help share my adventures in the process!
