I am considering a 1763-66 French Infantry Musket kit from TRS. I have seen posts regarding the Pedersoli kits for the Charleville 1766 and the TRS Brown Bess kits, but I have not located any posts regarding the "1766 Charleville" kit from TRS.
Does anyone have any experience or general comments regarding the kits from TRS?

Big difference. The Pedersoli kits are basically just "put it together", polish metal and do some sanding. Stain. TRS kits require some inletting, soldering of lugs, pin drilling. Tang bolt drilling. Drilling and Tapping.... etc, etc. Big job.

In the past their stock shaping and inletting was not great. I don’t mind small inlets; in fact I’d prefer no inletting of small parts over oversized inlets for sideplates, locks, triggers and so on. I threw away the TRS stock for a 1728 fusil ordinaire in disgust and used the parts to build a New England fowler. This is only one data point, so please seek more reviews.
