I haven’t shared pictures of this piece yet. I picked this up pre Covid. It was accompanied by a Jack Garner Early Virginia in iron. It’s .60 cal, the lock is L&R. It shoots really well both shot and round balls. I love the balance at 8.2 pounds. I’m curious if any of you have opinions on the style or builder. Comments much appreciated.

I have a Jack Garner .62/20 smooth bore gun with a rear sight. I've only shot it with prb's, haven't tried it as a shotgun yet. I like it a lot. Good sight picture, good weight. I know not much about Garner except he is an excellent gun builder.

I had a 54 cal and a36 cal built by Garner ,both were excellent rifles and very good shooters. I should have kept them but interest changed.

I agree with martin9 yes looks very Beck or lots of Lancaster in it. Patch box and beaver tails maybe not spot on as Beck or least the ones I have seen. But close enough. I verluck y beautiful gun. Looks like a great find. Best of luck with it

Thats a beauty !!
I've owned a couple of rifles built by Jack & have been very pleased with his workmanship & how they perform.
relic shooter

Back when I started with charcoal burners I thought there were only rifles. And then I learned of smoothbore rock locks! And man, I've loved 'em ever since. Your's is a beauty, amigo. You're gonna have so much fun & adventure with her. Thanks for sharing!
