What kind of group size can someone expect from a new pietta 1858 off the bench at 25 yards?

I get 5" (or better) offhand with mine. The one time I benchrested it, I got 3.5-4"

The biggest single factor I found was getting teh right ball size for my particualrt gun, which happenned to be the 0.454. A little better than 0.451 or 0.457.

Mine will hit the same hole consistantly at 15 yards but I use a conical bullet from a LEE mold with 25 grains FFF, but still at 25 yards from a rest it will put all shots inside a 4 in circle all day long.
