Getting a new/old rifle by Larry Mrock. .62 rifle. The wife said "Go for it!! Merry Christmas!"
I agree with some of the others that I need to let some stuff go, but when your buddy calls and says he saw a deal. What do you do?

Pay no attention to the price. It was negotiable.

Nothing.

Got too much muzzleloader related stuff. i'm rounding up bullets, balls, powder and stuff to sell or give away.
Well you can always remember sawed off elves like me when you're looking to downsize.

Now for serious response. @chorizo good on you. That really speaks to your qualities!
As for me, I didn't ask for anything. I'm sort of in a satisfied rut. I want for kids but not so much for me. My wife reminds me regularly that I have a lot of stuff related to what I do (fly tying, fly fishing, hunting, traditional archery, flintlock shooting/hunting, backpacking). She'll not begrudge me a trip to Dixon's in the coming weeks that always costs more than I "thought it would."

My oldest son is receiving the traditions Kentucky rifle I built last year as his Christmas gift!
At our family Christmas gathering as siblings we don’t spend a lot of money on each other for Christmas. This year my brothers wanted to go a little bit more all out. So I was handed a lot of cash to help me purchase a Chambers, PA Fowler!

My ML Christmas present is going to the son of my best friend that died a few months ago. Bought a TC Hawken from Big Sky and refinished it and had Dave engrave all the brass. The rifle had an exceptional piece of wood that Big Sky called it Blondie. My friend did not shoot and just wanted a rifle for his wall to pass down one day but he died suddenly. Neither knew that it was gonna be a present and both tried to buy it so maybe it will be a surprise to the boy. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
