What is really funny, frustrating, and amazing is that even if within the next 6 minutes, @GoodRabbitPilgrim post that he has gotten the ball out, there will still be people jumping on here with their suggestions and criticisms of other's suggestions. For at least a couple days,, and then someone will add more advice to the cold thread in a year or more.
... or we may never see GoodRabbitPilgrim again, on this site, thanks to all the belittling, smart-adz and snarky comments made at no value added to his dilemma. For some, there must be pleasure in mocking someone else's distress.

i went back and read GoodRabbitPilgrims first post just now to see if there was any clues that may need advice other then what has been given.
the only thing i haven't seen addressed is his talking to his wife and being distracted by that mistake.............................. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

tongue in cheek of course, but it does reenforce the rules of concentration when doing anything with a gun. i am hoping he has gotten this resolved.

When a man tells his wife he is going to do something that she has asked of him there is no need for her to start moaning every three months about it!

It looks like you have two options at this point: pressurized air or grease gun. Idahoron has a good post on using a grease gun - pump grease in at the nipple, then after the ball is out, use a patched jag to push the grease back out through the nipple.

That's exactly what I did. And I got 90% of my grease back good as new!!

What are the odds that the bore under the ball is in pretty rough shape now? It's been a few days, and I assume this stuck ball was not the first to go down the bore in this shooting session. It might need to be re-bored or lined if it's been rusting away.

If you live in a cold clime, putting (and keeping) the barrel outside (below freezing) will slow corrosion to a crawl, until a path to resolution is found.

Yep do a search for stuck ball. A million answers. Easiest way is to remove your nipple and trickle at least 5-10 grains of power into the barrel. Use a wire to force it in there and tap the gun until you get a little power in the barrel. Put the nipple back on and shoot it out. That little amount of powder will not hurt your barrel if the ball isn’t fully seated. You’ll find a dozen different ways that will be way more difficult.

You say this with a ball stuck six inches down the barrel and ONE HUNDRED TWENTY GRAINS OF POWDER under the ball??? Are you going to replace his ringed barrel or worse support his widow?

Compressed air to blow it out. Obviously pointed in a safe direction. or see if a zerk (grease fitting for you gen x'rs) will fit the nipple threads and pump it out with a cartridge of grease. Don't leave it just set around.

And you do not think the patch puller and ball puller and the rod tip that are all down there are going to shove the drill bit sideways into the side of the barrel and screw up the rifling's?
Myself, I do not put anything down the barrel that is as hard or harder than the barrel.
If it's 6" you should be able to see exactly where the bit will start he said they broke off so the bit should be able to go in the center of the broken pullers once started into the lead ball it will act as a guide and pull bit through the ball. Or as another member said unscrew the breech plug by anchoring in a vice and taking it out then use a heavy rod and push the ball back out. Put some oil in the barrel up front to the ball before pushing it out. Once it starts moving don't stop till it's out.

If you would bother to read through this ridiculous thread you would know the OP didn't let us know he had 120 grains of powder in the barrel & that it was only 6" down the barrel until AFTER TreeMan posted his response. Just another example of why people are sick & tired of these endless "stuck ball" threads & the stupid responses. All the OP had to do was read post #2 & he would have had all the answers he needed & his ball would be out. All you had to do was actually read before responding. 151 post? Insanity has taken over!

Come on,,,,, who reads before responding. Much more important to get one's name here and input logged remember, Ralph Wiggum bred like a caged rabbit.....

Really? That's all? So the additional information gained after a fee questions has no relevance?
With a bunch of other stuff stuck on the ball and between the ball and the muzzle, with far more distance between ball and breech than ball and muzzle, the only valid answer in your mind is pound the ball down 30 or 40 something inches and shoot it out.
Really?

If one gets a ball stuck, a ball puller ain't the answer. A ball puller is for pulling a ball that loaded normally.
If the ball got stuck with the guns rammer right way up then invert the gun on a solid bar and use the gun as the rammer on the static bar. The ball will not resist the extra inertia.
Don't go pounding from above. Don't go screwing and don't go to the hardware store for grease gun fittings.
All the energy is there and all the energy is in your arms and some have the brains to utilise what is present.

Really? Did you even read Post #2? I said nothing about pounding a ball down & shooting it out. Seems you can't read either! Like I said, insanity rules! Really?

just because I'm bored!
what many detractors of Idaho Ron's grease gun method don't consider is you aren't filling the entire bore with grease. being a closed chamber, the grease compresses the air in the bore until it forces the ball out. the zerk is sealed with a detent ball.
compressed air, compressed grease, both exert force.

I can just see you bouncing like your on a pogo stick up and down on a steel bar shoved into the barrel all the while the crown of the muzzle is oblong and wallered out. No need for accurate rifles so pogo at it.
