    Pyrodex P in matchlock

    Can Pyrodex P(the fine stuff)be used in a matchlock? Since a burning peice of cord is used to ignite the powder and not sparks, it may be succesful. Black Powder is almost illeagl in the UK, that's why we have to use Pyrodex and even that has its restrictions. Its all I can get hold of :( Cheers

    Blunderbuss

    I'm thinking of getting a flintlock Blunderbuss for and hunting and clay. I no it's not ideal, but it sure will be fun to use. Anyone hunt or shoot with a blunderbuss on here? Also, how efficient are duplex loads? It's hard to get BP near me.

    Fine grade of pyrodex in a flinter

    Hi! This has probaly been asked before, in fact I'm sure it has, but would a very find grade of Pyrodex work in a flintloc?.If you were to ground pyrodex into an almost flour type powder, would it be able to prodcue a reliable source of ignition. Has anyone tried it? Thanks, Duke :thumbsup...

    Bad caps and misfires

    The only time I get misifres is when the cap fails to go off. I take the cap of the nipple and then put it back on and it works. Is there a speacial way to place the cap on the nipple? Duke :thumbsup:

    I use hot soapy water in my caplock barrel, and take the barrel of the gun before I clean. Am I correct in doing this? Thanks :thumbsup:
