have a chance to go mule deer hunting in north central wyoming wandering if its possible to use a round ball muzzleloader or maybe a rifle musket would rather go muzzleloader but also considering blackpowder cartrige or even a M1A1 in .308 :redface:
 
If you're going to be hunting up my way, it might be worth noting that the average shots on mulies run around 150 yards in public access areas. One of the problems that has arisen here in the last few years is all the *^#$*# ATVers...they just blast around at 50 mph and run the critters every which way. It makes getting a close shot a crapshoot. It might behoove you to bring your modern gun out just in case circumstances keep you from getting within ML range.
