Wyoming State Shoot will be in Riverton, Wyoming over the Memorial Day week-end. The folks in Riverton always put on a good shoot. Its just below the 1838 Rondy site on the river.

And for the non-locals, a drive through the scenic and informative Wind River Canyon is well worth the effort. And so is the beautiful South Pass.

Not sure if it is still there, but there used to be a nice ML/BP shop in the tiny hamlet of Shoshoni. And the fantastic milk shakes at the Shoshoni Drug Store are a treat unto themselves.

Yes the Old Yellowstone Drugs is still makin shakes. So far as the B/P Shop the ole boy retired. There is however a very fine M/L rifle shop out by the causeway on the lake.
Do you recall the bridge that crosses the lake between Riverton and Shoneny ? There was an old cafe on the east end of the bridge. Well it burned down years back and is now a state rest stop and boat launch area. During the boom in the 70s it was a morning place for all of the Oil Field Trash in that area.

Yep, I do know & remember it, we now always stop there for a break and to let the dogs do their thing. And hey, I resemble that oil field trash remark.
