Reproduction Springfield 1855, reproduction with beautiful stock with no cracks but normal minor handling marks, and glass-bedded barrel in the rear section of the barrel channel and around the breech.
The primer tape cover is cosmetic. The barrel was finished by Bobby Hoyt, if I recall correctly (no markings). Has a SAC card. The rod is a replacement with the correct swell, but could use a wee bit of fitting. I think the trigger guard may be from an original 1855.
I haven't had a chance to fire it, but from what I understand, it's a sweet shooting piece that is ready for N-SSA competition. Has a taller front sight for target shooting.
$800 plus actual shipping from NC.
