It really would seem a shame for someone with your engraving skills to not do the engraving on a fine Lehigh rifle. I'd love to see what would come of a collaboration between your engraving and the building skills of one of the very few who do the Lehigh right. You've already done the indian/liberty head once, put one on a nice Lehigh where it belongs.I especially like the Schimmel rifle with no bells or whistles
Behold, a Jan/Feb 2014 Muzzleloader magazine profile on the fella what builds the most popular Southern Mountain Rifle in the world right now. I believe the kits were not out yet.Yes I do know my limitations and am thankful for those that have mastered these skills and we are able to contract there services. I'm always in awe at their skill levels and if you want something done right look for the professional tradesmen..........Labrat
I have an inordinately petite and short Bucksish/Lancastrian/Berksey/Auld Lang Synish rifle. At a mere 5'9" this rifle cause me to chicken wing my trigger arm most flamboyantly. When I think slender and petite, I envision a Bedford style.

Like Brokennock said, your the man with your engraving skills! Most definitely looking into either finding a used Lehigh / Hatfield or having a custom one built to my specs. I do want it to be a working / common man's rifle with a high grade stock, few inlays, and I already have some nice engraving ideas...................Labrat
