What lube?
Mix 1 part castor oil to 5 parts denatured alcohol, then soak your patches in it, then spread out on a cookie sheet to let the alcohol evaporate out.
This is an adaptation of Dutch Schoultz's dry patch recipe, and greatly reduces fouling, and allows more rounds to be fired before swabbing is needed.
I used to use a beeswax + tallow blend, which is what an old timer showed me while shooting some of his family heirloom collection.

I like the castor oil dry patch better.
