I agree…if that was a kit, builder did a great job. The folks that own a muzzleloader shop near me told me any TC gun with a serial number beginning with K was a kit. Nonetheless that’s a very nice looking gun

Nice rifle, trying to get people to trade for a 32 is like pulling teeth. Lol

Later TC kits came with the parts already blued. Probably for the same reason they started putting the erroneously named 'clean-out screw' on the blind side of the breechplug e.g. got tired of the warranty replacements.

Perhaps I’m mistaken and someone with more knowledge can clarify
….
I thought earlier models had “Cherokee” on them and later ones did not.

So this is a early model, later kit w/ factory blueing?

Early models didn't have the name stamp maybe because they thought people could tell what they had by the label on the box or the picture in the catalog.

It is a kit barrel.......however the stock could be a factory built stock that someone added the K barrel to also. Is the barrel channel on the stock stamped with a K as well? I sold all but one of my senecas and every Cherokee I had last year and everyone one of them brought this kind of money. It's worth it and they are not making any more. the last four of these sold on Gunbroker brought between 750 and 1000 apiece. crazy prices.
