In a thread on the American Long Rifle forums about Bill Moody's barrels, I mentioned Bob Wyant, who sent me a letter on Jan. 14, 2002, describing the Billinghurst-inspired target rifles he was building using
Moody barrels fitted with false starters. I "met" Bob here on the Muzzleloading Forum.
Bob Roller posted that he knew Bob, and that Bob had died of a heart attack some time ago, sad news that I had been unaware of.
In his memory, here is a photo of Bob with one of his rifles, and a photo of the stock pattern he sent me, in case anyone else is intrigued by this style of rifle. Bob sent me a description of the parts he used, which I can add if anyone is interested.
I hope you are resting in peace, Bob. You were generous to share your enthusiasm with me.
