I acquired a ball a bit bigger than what I use in my smoothbore. I normally shoot a .520 and I got some .525's from a listmember. That patch ticking is .12 thou's thick. I use the whole piece of ticking over the barrel end to check if the ball is a good fit, and I lube the section that will get pushed down. That way I can pull the easily ball back out of the barrel just by grabbing the whole piece of ticking. The .525 is a good fit and was easily thumb started. That ticking will make good patches for my smoothbore. Looking forward to shooting them down range to see how well they do.
