I bought this little rifle a couple of years ago from an estate. The rifle would not fire due to a problem with the alignment between the hammer and primer. After reading about bending the hammer on this forum, I was able to fire the rifle this afternoon. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing information.

I have a .45 and a .36 Seneca. They are my favorites. I shot the .45 today at my club shoot and had great results. At 100 yds I was loading 40 gr. of 3F with a .440 ball and .018 patch. Standing offhand. I haven't got a load dialed in for my .36 yet.

I'm glad you got yours straightened out.

That's awesome. I like hearing about the 45 caliber. I recently bought a new old stock Traditions deerhunter in 45 cal. with a 1/66 twist barrel. It's fast becoming my favorite rifle. My gun seems to like 60 grains of 3f Old Ensyford with the 440 ball and a .010 cotton patch.
