Thank you gentlemen for helping me to establish what we had. Now can any one inform me of where we could get a stock, barrel bands and a firing pin for the 1853T or 1857 converted tabatiere "zulu"?
A customer brought it in and wanted us to repair what we could. It is a family relic. If it was me I would just wrap the forestock and barrel with leather, hang it on the wall and call it good. The butt stock has some interesting hand carving done on it. Nothing fancy just interesting.

Thanks again

Offhand, contact the owner of http://www.militaryrifles.com
he specializes in cartridge military rifles of the 1800s and knows alot of people in the gun world. he maybe able to help with dimensions for the firing pin at least as he has several tabatieres in his collection. but as to a stock, that will be harder to find.

good luck.
