Smoothbore barrel.

I am looking for a 44" swamped .58 cal smoothbore barrel. I contacted Rice for their D profile barrel and they said it would be 4 to 5 months. Does anyone know who else I could get a full octagon swamped smoothbore barrel from a bit faster? I have seen Bobby Hoyt barrels like this, but I don't know where to get one.

They might have one.....they've had Rice barrels when others haven't.

Thank you. That's a Great place. Been there many times. They had Rice .58 and .62 rifled barrels, but no smoothbores in a swamped barrel. I will be going up there to the gun makers fair in a few weeks. Maybe somebody will have what I am looking for there.

You might try Vernon C Davis. He says he has over 1000 barrels on hand.

Not positive, but based on an add in Muzzleloader I just saw, I think Mike Lea bought Davis. Good supplier!!! :thumbsup:
