Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
Nice clean looking work, but much more English than French. If going for French, use two pins of about 1/8" diameter, and a rounded blade heel. Original French scalpers usually had the pins at 1 1/16" apart, if you want to be exacting about it, and the more common/typical French blades had a dropped point. Not all, but most often. The classic, or typical English scalper had a raised point, was thinner than French, had an almost 90° blade heel, and commonly used three small diameter pins of about 3/32" dia. There are variations in both French and English, but the above are the typical features commonly found.
