This community needs YOUR help today. We rely 100% on Supporting Memberships to fund our efforts. With the ever increasing fees of everything, we need help. We need more Supporting Members, today. Please invest back into this community. I will ship a few decals too in addition to all the account perks you get.
Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
Bounce backs happen all the time. Not specifically from tires but from metal targets. Go to UTube and look up "bullets bouncing back and hitting shooter." The 1000 yard shot (UTube) scared me, this guy was lucky.
I have had multiple rebound hits with a 45 acp off steel. enough to make sure the plate is angled away from the firing position. shooting at a stack of tires from even 25 yards let alone 50 or 100 won't keep me up nights worrying about a rebound. choose a soft tire like the op fill the inside with sand and voila' a perfect bullet trap! and I would rather go west from a 54 PRB in the noggin than drown in my own fluids via kung fu flu!
ps. that said I will fight to the death for everyone else's right to their opinion!
stay healthy and stay safe. deerstalkert.
