We ran our abnual turkey shoot at the Roslyn Club yesterday. We have been doing this for the last 24 years on the first Sunday in November. Although the number of shooters has dropped way off over the years, we still get about 15 or so. Theres always a pot of chili and afterwards its back to the clubhouse for coffee amd to light the crying lamp. Targets range from 10ft to 200 yards.
This year we found a good use for candy corn, besides eating it that is. Water bottles charcoal briquets cut cards steel reactives you name it we had it up. The potato bags are fifty cents a shot, cut the string thru amd the bag is yours. I collected $14 and only one bag hit the ground.
