I was at the Baltimore antique firearms show and picked up a Western Arms Santa Fe NM
36 cal Remington navy made by Uberti. I looked up the date code AF which dates to 1980. I have never seen a western arms uberti before anyone familiar with them? Put some .375 ball and lee conicals through it and it shot and functioned fine. Had some stuck caps though. I think it could benefit from upgraded nipples ie slick shot or ampco. The most interesting thing about it is the adjustable target sights.

Without pictures it doesn't exist! Adjustable target sights on a Navy would be interesting to see.

They had a store in Albuquerque back when I was a high school kid. I spent a lot of time there, and loved their guns. The Santa Fe Hawken is one of the finest "production" Hawkens ever made, IMHO. I had one, then traded for a yellow boy carbine a few years later. Dumb move. It was a tack driver. The guns were excellent, quality Uberti stuff. Some were marked "Allen Firearms" if I recall correctly, (the owner of the shop)...very nice man, putting up with this young kid asking endless questions.

Here are a few photos.

It has a 6 1/2” barrel. Has anyone tried any aftermarket nipples on thier Uberti 36 navy? This one is 43 yrs old. Don’t know if the threads are different.
