Well, I'm back from Mexico (well, a corner of Staffordshire we commandeered for the weekend) tired but very happy!

General Paul 'Santa Anna' Barrass masterminded the biggest ever recreation of the Battle of the Alamo,as part of the 300th anniversary celebrations of the United Grand Lodge of England.

There were hundreds on the field, and scores of people worked hard to bring this event into being.

The last Alamo battle in the UK was in the 80s, and people still talk of it today. I'm sure this weekend's event will be spoken of for decades to come.

This Texan begs for pictures! Always interested to see how others view my States history. What is the Alamo connection to your place in the UK that made yall want to stage that particular battle?
