She's a .44, accurate enough for head shots, 16 inch barrel, golf ball sized groups at 30 yds.

I have a .32 Crockett pistol that I hope to try out on squirrels this fall. With 15 grains of 3f, I am getting 1" groups at 25 yards with a rest. I will have to use handy trees for a rest when hunting, cause I could never shoot it that well off hand.

The closer the better...thats what I say. Patience, and wit, and no misses allowed. 😉

I am intrigued about your crockett pistol, do you have a picture of it? Feel free to put it here.

I would give anything to have one of those with a 14-16 inch barrel.

Actually I'd give anything to have mine be a .36 or a .32. It's a .44. But pickings are mighty slim on blackpowder long barreled pistols. So I settled on it.. Just can't put a shot in the rib cage. Really does step up the challenge a notch, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing...

The squirrels are cutting pecans all up and down the street. My Jack Russell strains the leash on our walks.
It's about time to break out my .177 cal unmentionable and make dumplings.
I wanna use my 40 cal Early Lancaster with 15grs fffg this fall at the cabin.
15gns! Just watch a ball don't bounce back!
I have that t-shirt!

As long as i hit the squirrel first I think i'm good. I should have around 1100 fps, with a 90 grain ball. Similar to a 32 unmentionable carbine.
I know you suffer from magnumitis, but it isn't needed for our red fox squirrels. 😉

I only use 16 grains in my full length rifle. Taken squirrels out to 40 yards. Eyes are my limitation not firearm. I have a Crockett 32, had to buy buckshot to get a ball that worked well.
