Does anybody know of a way to make a beer can/cement projectile scream or whistle?

If not any body have any ideas that might work?

Thanks

Well a bowling ball whistles, so get a round ball mold and cast some zinc balls, dril some finger holes and shoot them and see.

like he said finger holes whistle. so if your projectile has a hole on the side of it it will whistle like your blowing on an open beer bottle

Okay, this is a dangerous discussion. Cans filled with concrete need to be filled with no air pockets. Using a can with holes in it can have a very bad result. First, there's the possibility of the can collapsing and creating a blockage. Secondly, there's the chance of the can collapsing, creating a gas seal and sending it further down range that intended. Thirdly, the projectile turns to sharpnel.

If I were to construct a whistling round, I would use zinc or iron.

I know several people who use concrete filled cans as projectiles. The way to get them to wistle is as follows. 1. cut a disk of 3/4" plywood that will just fit inside the open end of the can. 2. Use a 10" steel fishing leader(40LB) attach a washer to one end. 3. Pour the can with cement leaving a 1" space at the top. 4. Place leader wire with nut in the can/concrete, with the wire centered in the can. 5. When concrete is set, drill a small hole in center of plywood disk, and place wire through.6. Drill 4ea 1/2" holes in disk. attach wire to plywood with a cross pin.7. Coil wire into can and place disk in the top of can. this acts as a sabot. When the gun is loaded place projectile in wood base first.
Upon firing the disk will separate from the can will act sa a drag this will cause the projectileto have a more stable flight and add accuracy to the gun. the 4 holes will whistle as the round goes down range. Good luck and have fun.
