Real clean good condition 1861 Colt Navy. Has been fired by a friend. He shot 6 rounds through it. He got it from me and I got it from a member of this forum. Now its come back to me. I never shot it myself. I have this revolver in my possession. My friend is going to liquidate his black powder guns. He was diagnosed with stage four kidney cancer. He is a Vietnam Veteran.
This is the only one I have received so far. Has some more he will ship to me. I will list some when I get them. Wish I could buy them myself, but alas, I don't have the funds. I told him I would give it my best to sell them for him.
I'm gonna ask $285 for this one. That's with shipping included.

Thanks for doing that for him! I'm sure he appreciates your help and encouragement!!
Yes sir, we met on Facebook about 15 years ago. When we could still buy sell and trade black powder stuff. We've met in person once. We keep in touch. It's sad but we do what we can. He has nobody to leave em to. His wife wouldn't know what to do with em.
So...

Vic, I will be sending a check out to you tomorrow. I just came down with a case of the gout which will limit my movement for a couple days. Getting old gets to be less and less fun as it goes along. I've been looking for a nice 61 repro for some time and I thank you. And have a happy New Year, Bill

Ok, and if I may ask. Have we done trading before? Noticed you stated Vic.
And yeah getting old is not fun at all...

Prayers for your friend. Hope he has contacted the VA. It is my understanding that many cancers qualify Vietnam veterans for immediate full disability / pensions. Had one friend that fought it and recovered for a bit. Did eventually take him. Very sad. God bless all our veterans who often give so much without even knowing it for years.

I believe he already did, some years ago. He had his 76th birthday last month. He's waiting on lab tests to see how far its spread.
God bless our veterans...
