I have an early ph " muskatoon" my standard load is 60 gr swiss 1.5 or 68 gr O.E. 1f, these provide the best performance in my particular rifle, i shoot lyman 575213, if i grease the grooves it shoots terriable, if i fill the base and nothing in grooves its good to 50 yrd or so, i like the ease of handling and short length so she would be an ideal hunting gun for me, before i invest more money into this one the minnie got me thinking...with the base full of grease ( beeswax / tallow and a small bit of ballistol) that adds weight to the tail of the minnie ball, im thinking of getting a 575213ph that has a truncated base pin ( heavier tail) looking for anyones input on their exsperiance with that rifle / mold, please keep in mind im hunting , not punching paper with her, for punching paper and ringing steel i use my potts and hunt 2 band,
