My last rifle made about 2010 and part of my own collection. Made in the manner of a transition Jaeger that would have come out of the shop of a colonial maker after the Rev war. It has more graceful lines and finer finish than many of the military style rifles carried by Jaeger mercenaries hired by King George to help the English win. That didn’t work out for him as many of the Jaeger soldiers saw the free land here and just walked away.
I refer to it as a gun made by a committee because three of us worked on it. I built it in the white. I then sent it to Dick Miller for the carving. He then sent it to Dennis Priddy who did all the metal engraving. It has a 31” 60 caliber swamped colerain barrel. Lock is an early germanic by Chambers and maple stock from Dick Miller in Michigan. The rest of the furniture from various vendors at Friendship.
