On Pedersoli percussion rifles with drum and nipple, does the drum intersect the breechplug like on a CVA or Traditions rifle? Or is the breechplug face solid and the drum is just ahead of the breech face?

With the patent powder chamber it would be ahead of the breach face.

Intersects. If I push my ramrod all the way down it stops at the breech face above the hole in the barrel for the drum. Hope that helps.
OK, thanks, so I guess it might have same cleaning issues as CVA and Traditions guns.

Indeed. I bought a breech face brush for cleaning the rifles that I have with those breech plugs. It works great.
