Is it possible to use conicals such as the Hornady Great Plains Bullet in the Pedersoli Kentucky? It's 1 in 18 twist seems more than some BP revolvers.

Try some if they don't tumble at 25 & 100 yards then it would be a question of are they flying fast enough to hunt with. In Kansas I can't shoot patched round ball in a Muzzleloading Pistol durring Deer Season so I shoot conicals.

You didn't state what you were planning to use the pistol for.

Good Luck

I have the kentucy in 54 cal flintlock version. I use patched round balls. I have never tried using a conical. The only thing to be careful of is not to shoot too hot a load. You can spit the stock if you shoot hot loads on these style of pistols. My max load is 30grs of 3f.

I don't have the pistol yet. My question(s) are for the purpose of learning as much as possible about muzzleloading firearms before I buy. So much to learn. Thanks for the reply.
