I have a Pedersoli Frontier Flintlock I’m looking to find a better lock and or parts for. Tuned it the best I could myself but the Achilles heel of the lock that came with it was the frism. Was very crudely finished and didn’t meet flat with the pan causing powder to fall out on all sides and get behind the lock itself because of its poor fitting into the stock. Fixed the fitting to the stock and got the frizzen custom shaped to the angle of contact with the pan but upon trying to refine the spur that compresses the frissen spring I was too liberal. I’m wondering what some compatible and superior parts and whole locks would be?

I had a percussion frontier, and replaced the lock with this one from L&R. It performed quite well and I never had an issue with it.

I checked it out and they have a lock specifically for the Pedersoli Frontier. Very cool stuff it seems like the frizzen even has a protrusion that sorta clamps down on the powder when it’s closed making it where it’s not all just on one side of the pan or directly near the fire hole.
