I have a Pedersoli Kentucky style percussion pistol with a rifled brass barrel. A magnet does not stick to the barrel so it isn't just plated.

I have been looking for information about the gun, like a catelogue description and picture etc. I have had the gun since about 1985, so I know it is at least that old. I know it is supposed to be marked with some letters for year of manufacture. I'll post those later tonight.

I saw one at the gun show back in February in flintlock. I made a thread about it in the pistol section. Zonie told us when it was made.

I remember seeing them advertised many years ago. Kentucky with a brass barrel. I seem to recall reading a gun test on it, but don't remember the particulars. It was over thirty years ago.

I think the write up you are thinking about is the one in Black Powder Gun Digest new 2nd edition on page 116. The title of the article is The Great Kentucky Come Back. This article is about a Navy Arms "Kentucky" pistol with a 10 1/4 inch brass barrel and walnut stock.
