Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
The only Parker Hale Musketoons available now are used guns, and if one is lucky enough to find one they can expect to pay pretty big bucks.
The Musketoon, which was used by the Artillery (and some Light Brigade?) is a really neat little (for that time period) gun.
It's only shortcoming is due to its light weight it does kick with authority when shooting a heavy Minie' ball.
I think I saw used Parker Hale guns over at The Gun Works Muzzleloading Emporium. Look under the used guns. You best be sitting down when you see the prices.
They did have some nice guns. Has anybody done business with The Gun Works? Some of their prices looked pretty good but I've never ordered anything from there.
The current Dixie Gun Works catalog lists the PR0520 Parker Hale 1861 Enfield Royal Artillery Carbine as being the same as the Euroarms 1861 Enfield Musketoon.
But the Parker Hale being sold now as a new gun is not the same as the gun sold in the past that was made in England. That Parker Hale label is very misleading--almost false advertising.
