In my 60 years of collecting & shooting original muzzleloading firearms don't recall ever coming across an uncased
field grade shotgun in this high level of condition. These type of shotguns were very popular on the frontier & most saw very hard use.
Specs;
-Lock signed L. Patrick, retains 95% of original browning, finish on internal components show no wear or signs of use.
-Nicely grained Walnut stock with 14.25"LOP with crisp checkered wrist showing just very minor dings.
Stock features iron hardware, sling button & swivel & fitted with attractive german silver escussions & nose cap.
-32" hook-breached barrel with two platinum bands. Mirror bright bore & breech still retaining 100% of it's browned silky smooth finish.
*Photos don't do justice to the 99% of beautiful damascus pattern remaining on the barrel.
-Original nipple & threads are in near new condition condition & removes easily.
-Still retains original ramrod with wad puller. Note; missing the screw-on brass cap.
