Been huntin' all my life - MI, TX, CO, WY, AK. Picked up a percussion .54 Lyman Trade Rifle back in the 80's or 90's, don't recall. Fitted a Lyman peep on it. Well, believe it or not I'm finally getting around to shootin' it. (My bad). Decided on Goex, patch & ball. Picked up alot of good info from you fellers here & glad to be a part of the clan. If ya'll don't mind I'll throw my 2 cents in once in awhile as I get to know this smokepole. Shoot straight.

Sounds like a good start. Just jump in and ask whatever's on your mind. This is a pretty diverse crowd with no lack of opinions!

Dennis,
Do check out McKinnley Mountainmen Muzzleloading Rifle Club. We have monthly rifle and pistol shoots at the Mat Valley Sportsman's Range. It's all in good fun, we promise.
